Brewster was named in honor of Elder
William Brewster, the first religious leader of the
Pilgrims at Plymouth County, incorporated in 1803. The
town's history grew around Stony Brook, where the first
water-powered grist and woolen mill in the country was
founded. There were many rich sea captains in the town,
who built many of the mansions and stately homes which
now constitute the town's inns and bed-and-breakfasts.
Brewster's Sea Pines Inn
I have known Steve at the Sea Pines Inn for almost 20 years. In my mind Steve and his chefs have provided excellent food over the years and be sure to consider this Inn if you have a smaller size wedding where you want to capture that old Cape Cod feel. Just rock on the porch on a summer day and you will feel great. Or maybe you want to read from his extensive library which has a small home style Bed and Breakfast feel. On you way to Brewster be sure to stop at the Sea Pines Inn on Route 6A and mention that Richard Talmage mentioned you would want to know the Old Sea Pines Inn in Brewster. The number for the Sea Pines inn is 508-896-6114.
Brewster's Seafood and Market
When in Brewster be sure to stop by the Brewster Seafood and Market on Route 6A. You can pick up a lobster dinner or just a sandwich. They have a wondful display of fresh seafood and If you like will also cater your next Lobster Clambake in your home. For more information call 208-896-5367 or stop by 2740 Main Street in Brewster.
